My name is Juan Anguiano. I am a senior journalism student at Columbia College Chicago. I am addicted to the news. I live and breathe news in english and spanish. In a city like Chicago there is always something going on. I not only focus in on Chicago, but the world outside of Chicago. I am one of those people, those people that tell stories and tell them well, some may call them journalist.

My first clip went M.I.A.

While I was in class today I realized that I had been published way before I thought I had been published. Back when I was in 6th grade, around 10 years ago, there was a weekly newsletter that would circulate my nieghborhood. It had a lot of information on the neighborhood and what was going on in the nieghborhood. I remember it had a post and it said that if you wanted to write for it to call the number and I did. My first assignment was to cover a CAPS meeting. I remember I went with my older brother to do it. I took down notes and wrote out whta happen during the meeting and emailed the lady what I had. A few weeks later it was in the newsletter that was distributed to all the schools in the area and some local businesses. I remember that my 6th grade teacher Mr. Godina posted it on the wall. I have been trying to locate this clip for the longest but I just can’t find it. *Look out for updates on the mystery…I’ll post it as soon as I find it.
