My name is Juan Anguiano. I am a senior journalism student at Columbia College Chicago. I am addicted to the news. I live and breathe news in english and spanish. In a city like Chicago there is always something going on. I not only focus in on Chicago, but the world outside of Chicago. I am one of those people, those people that tell stories and tell them well, some may call them journalist.

Job Market…

So as the bailout plan got denied this week, I really started to think about the job market and the realities of me having a job right out of college like my older siblings. My siblings graduated when the market was healthy and i unfortunately will graduate when its at its worse. I have to think positive about this and with that positive thinking I should be able to land a job somewhere, whether it be in public relations or in broadcasting/print. I must make contacts and good ones and those that I have keep them. Its scary not knowing whether or not Im going to have a job. This I know for sure I do not want to end up with a bachelors degree in journalism with a minor in PR and work at a factory or retail. This education was not easy or cheap for me to end up in those areas of work…
